Biography:
Dr. Alexandru COCEAN is a young researcher with experience in various projects, member of the Atmosphere Optics, Spectroscopy and Lasers Laboratory (LOA-SL) http://spectroscopy.phys.uaic.ro/. A. Cocean defended his doctoral thesis in 2019 obtaining the grade SUMMA CUM LAUDE. He has developed a series of experimental and theoretical investigations on the action of high power laser pulses on targets under various environmental and stress conditions. He develop finite element method (FEM) applied in COMSOL Multiphysics to study thermal effects of pulsed laser radiation on homogeneous and heterogeneous targets, as well as laser ablation and deposition simulating the PLD technique.
