- Anwar Ahmad is a Professor and quality control director in the College of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Nizwa, Oman. The main areas of his interest include industrial and hazardous waste treatment techniques and sustainable energy production methane and hydrogen, heavy metal ions removal by bacterial strain and bacterial biomass, municipal solid waste management.
- He is organized a number of training program, workshop and symposia for the benefits of practicing engineer and professionals. He has published 105 international and national journals, US patents and books. He is guiding nine Ph.D and 10 Master students in the areas of sustainable industrial wastewater treatment for energy towards clean production and carbon emission and reduction. Wastewater reclamation and reuse, wastewater treatment design reactor, Microbial fuel cell develop from dual waste degradation-nano-sensitization, Quality of water, natural organic decay in pipe network and storage tank, nano tube desalination and compact wetlands technology.
