Jimmy Karloopia

Biography:

Dr. Jimmy Karloopia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Production & Industrial Engineering at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, India. He has served as a faculty member at several prestigious institutions, including the National Institute of Technology Srinagar and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar. His work has earned him recognition, including the Best Faculty Award.  He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where he also completed his M.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Government College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu & Kashmir, India.  Dr. Karloopia has made significant contributions to the fields of composites and advanced materials engineering. He has published numerous research papers in international journals and presented his work at Internationally reputed conferences in Australia, USA, and India. His expertise includes areas such as Composite Materials; conceptualization and development, Metal Casting, Tribology, Machining and process optimization, Material Processing and characterization. Dr. Karloopia has authored two books. He is also actively involved in reviewing for prominent journals and conferences in the field. His recent research focuses on the processing and recyclability of Aluminium & Magnesium based composite materials.
