Title : Immunotherapy drugs work like vaccines: The genetics scope of antibodies and each individual is opportunistic in finding and destroying tumors
PROVENGE (by Dendreon) is the first drug of the immunotherapy group approved by FDA in 2010 for Prostate Cancer Treatment. This drug is made from the patient’s own immune cells, which are collected a few days before each scheduled infusion. Another experience: during the Ebola virus was outbreak in 2016, the antibodies were extracted from a patient that recovered by chance from this disease. The immunotherapy method is still new, but is gaining the established status. Antibodies are proteins, and proteins are encoded by genes. The genetic makeup of this antibody is unique for a drug as well as for synthesis purpose. The DNA of the patient is also considering. No doubt that the genetic makeup is opportunistic: KEYTRUDA (by Merck) is the first drug that was approved by FDA in 2017 based on a tumor’s genetic profile rather than where the cancer originated.
Winston Vo, currently living in Nashville, Tennessee- a healthcare hub, also known as Music City USA. Winston Vo has an engineering degree in Chemical Engineering & Applied Mathematics from Vanderbilt U (Class ‘98, cum laude). He worked in the petroleum industry with Honeywell/Phillips (66) Petroleum Refinery in Northern Texas for 2 years. Since then (in 15 years), He have been working in a hospital pharmacy after a short year of studying in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at Duquesne U. With an expansive resume, no doubt I could make an impact in a project for promoting a new role of pharmacists counseling patients regarding their medications and being reimbursed for their efforts. In January 1st, 2006, the Medicare Prescription Part D Plan was enacted that made this new role a reality. Pharmacists in retail settings began to work with clinics (managed by a nurse practitioner).
He had authored two medical & religious books on the strength we have within ourselves to restore our mental health and immune status. These books were merging to the new trend of “Precision Medicine” (or Personalized Medicine). I also just formed a firm named “ecoGenetic Health, Inc.” to appeal to investors.
