Biography:
Dr. Ru Chen obtained her PhD degree and postdoctoral training at University of Washington, United States. Dr. Chen is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine and Member of Dan L. Duncan Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine. Her laboratory studies genomic and proteomic alterations associated with tumor progression, and translates the knowledge for development of biomarkers for early detection of cancer. Dr. Chen has served on multiple grant review panels and Editorial Board of four journals. She has published several studies in highly impactful journals, such as The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, PLOS Medicine, Cancer Research, GUT, and Gastroenterology.
