Biography:

Abhishek Swarnakar is a Senior Research Fellow at the CSIR–Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, where he is engaged in oncolytic virotherapy-based research, tumor immunology, and advanced gene and cell-based therapeutics. His expertise lies in developing and engineering oncolytic adenoviral vectors aimed at selective cancer targeting and immune modulation. Abhishek’s research integrates multidisciplinary approaches, including CAR-T cell therapy, chimeric antibody-based therapeutics, and bioengineering, to design more effective and precise cancer treatment strategies. With three publications and one filed patent to his credit, he has contributed to advancing innovative concepts in viral vector engineering and tumor–immune microenvironment modulation. His scientific vision centres on developing next-generation viral platforms capable of overcoming therapeutic resistance and enhancing antitumor immunity. Driven by a passion for translational oncology, He continues to explore novel combinatorial strategies that bridge molecular virology and immunotherapy to achieve improved clinical outcomes for patients with refractory cancers.
