Dr Huiqin Yang joined the Peninsula Technology Assessment Group (PenTAG) from the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination at the University of York. She is a Senior Research Fellow at PenTAG, with over 13 years research experience in Health Services Research. She has undertaken a range of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) projects for the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) HTA Programme, including multiple therapeutic technology appraisals, single therapeutic technology appraisals, diagnostic imaging technology assessments, and prognostic technology assessments in several clinical areas. These areas include advanced breast cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, osteoporosis, scoliosis, psoriasis, type 1 Gaucher disease, rheumatoid arthritis, childhood obesity, psoriatic arthritis and prenatal fetal RhD status detection.
Her research interests include developing methods for medical decision making research on improving diagnostic performance. Her work has included network meta-analyses and meta-analyses for the lung cancer screening project (commissioned by the National Screening Committee) as well as statistical modelling techniques and methods for applied health research.
