Biography:
Paige Derr, Ph.D., is a Staff Scientist at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences within the National Institutes of Health. She received her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on tissue-engineered skin disease models to identify therapeutics. Dr. Derr also explores the intersection of quantum technologies and biology. She is Co-Chair of the SPIE Conference Nonclassical Biology and Quantum Biophotonics, founder of the NIH Quantum Special Interest Group, and a member of the Editorial Board for the SPIE journal Advanced Quantum Photonics.
