Biography:
Vikash Maurya is a Ph.D. research scholar in the Department of Botany, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, India, working under the supervision of Dr. Akhilesh Kumar. His research focuses on understanding the role of arginyltransferase 1 (ATE1) in cell death, mitochondrial dysfunction, and tumour suppression. His work integrates molecular and cellular biology, proteomics, metabolomics, and mitochondrial biology to investigate ATE1-mediated regulation of cellular stress responses and cancer-related processes. He is particularly interested in elucidating the molecular mechanisms linking ATE1, mitochondrial function, and therapeutic response.
