Dear Attendees of the Conference

Both near (in person) and far (virtual), welcome to the 12th annual Magnus Group International Conference on Dental Innovations and Technologies (Dental). Year after year this meeting just gets better and better with up-to-date clinical information and research relative to all fields of dentistry for general and specialty practitioners alike. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon this meeting keeps me in touch with worldwide state-of-the-art research and dental treatment modalities that I would otherwise have no knowledge of. And the same applies to general practitioners keeping informed by their colleagues and various dental specialists. Hopefully, you will enjoy this meeting and the camaraderie that comes along with an excellent learning experience and opt to return again next year.

Dear Conference Participants,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 12th Edition of the International Conference on Dental Innovations and Technologies, taking place from March 15–17, 2027, in Singapore and virtually. I am honored to present my lecture entitled “Atypical Facial Pain – A Mistaken Diagnosis,” focusing on a condition often described as facial pain that does not meet the criteria of other recognized disorders and commonly presents unilaterally in the infra-orbital, mastoid, external auditory meatus, or submandibular regions. Conventional treatment frequently involves increasing doses of Tegretol, antidepressants, or both; however, accurate diagnosis depends upon a deeper understanding of occlusal physiology and the muscles receiving motor innervation from the mandibular branch of the fifth cranial nerve. During this presentation, I will discuss the importance of a more sophisticated occlusal examination that avoids the traditional instruction for patients to simply “bite or close” their teeth together. The lecture will further explore the relationship between atypical facial pain and temporo-mandibular dysfunction syndrome arising from painful spasms of smaller, often overlooked muscles supplied by the trigeminal nerve, along with relevant diagnostic approaches and treatment options. I hope this conference provides valuable opportunities for scientific exchange, professional growth, and meaningful collaboration, while also allowing you to enjoy the dynamic atmosphere and cultural richness of Singapore. Thank you for your participation and enthusiasm, and I wish you an inspiring and rewarding conference experience.
