Title : The role of dentists in promoting the health of diabetics

Abstract:

Diabetes is a public health problem in Mexico. The importance of comprehensive management of the disease is presented, to ensure that the person living with diabetes has a full life. The experience of multidisciplinary work is presented at the Diabetes and Full Life Conference, with the participation of nutrition students, physiotherapy students, dentists and diabetes educators.

Biography:

Dr. Rosa María Díaz-Romero, Dentist, graduated from UNAM, with HM.  Promote educational programs to raise awareness of the different types of care that must be taken to have a full life. The programs carried out in the Faculty of Dentistry to promote these prevention actions are presented. Completed her PhD in Health Sciences, with a focus on Clinical Epidemiology. Research Coordinator at UNITEC.
