Biography:
Dr. Anne Marteel-Parrish is Professor of Chemistry and Associate Dean of Faculty at Washington College, where she has served since 2003. Originally from northern France, she earned an engineering degree in Materials Science from École Polytechnique de Lille and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Toledo. She is the inaugural holder of the Frank J. Creegan Chair in Green Chemistry and a nationally recognized educator and scholar in green chemistry and sustainability. Her work has earned numerous awards for teaching, leadership, and sustainability education. She is co-author of Green Chemistry and Engineering: A Pathway to Sustainability and continues to integrate sustainability, innovation, and meaningful teaching into her work.
