Biography:
Danay Carrillo is a Chemical Engineer with a degree from the Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría (ISPJAE) in Cuba (2006). She holds a Master's degree in Process Analysis and Control (2011) from ISPJAE, Cuba, and a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology (2016) from Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila. Dr. Carrillo is a research professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey and a member of the Molecular and Systems Bioengineering Research Group. Her research focuses on utilizing agro-industrial waste for biofuel production and cultivating microalgae in wastewater for value-added products. With 26 publications, 10+ journal reviewer roles, and technical lead experience on 11 projects, Dr. Carrillo has 17 years of teaching experience and holds the category of Assistant Researcher.
