Ghiath Monnet

Dr. G. Monnet obtained his PhD degree in mechanics of materials in 1999 from Sorbonne Paris University. The thesis was dedicated to the analyses of X-ray diffraction profiles. Dr. Monnet spent then two years in a postdoctoral position in ONERA CNRS for the improvement of the dislocation dynamics code “MicroMegas”. In 2003, he joint EDF R&D – MMC and started developing constitutive equations of mechanisms controlling plastic deformation of irradiated materials, such as zirconium alloys, austenitic stainless steels and reactor pressure vessel. He has published more than 50 papers in peer-reviewed international journals.
