About Sushanta Mandal

Sushanta Mandal is a PhD scholar in Physics and Materials Science at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. His research focuses on high-entropy spinel oxides, particularly their structural, magnetic, dielectric, and low-temperature properties. His work involves synthesis and advanced characterization techniques, including X-ray and neutron diffraction, spectroscopy, microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and magnetic and dielectric measurements. He has qualified NET and has teaching experience in Physics. His research interests include complex magnetic ordering, structural phase transitions, cation disorder, and functional properties of high-entropy materials.

Featured talk at Materials 2027

“Long-range magnetic ordering and structural phase transition in disordered high entropy spinel chromites”

High-entropy spinel oxides provide an excellent platform for investigating entropy-stabilized correlated systems with strong configurational disorder. In this work, we…
