About Wissam Mebarakou

Wissam Mebarakou is a PhD researcher in Process Engineering at Ferhat Abbas Setif 1 University, Algeria, working in the Laboratory of Physico-Chemistry of High Polymers (LPCPH). Her research focuses on the development of polypropylene formulations for nonwoven fabric manufacturing, particularly through spunbond and meltblown processes. Her doctoral research investigates the relationships between polymer properties, formulation composition, processing conditions and final nonwoven performance, using reverse engineering, polymer characterization and formulation development approaches.

Featured talk at Materials 2027

“Reverse engineering-based development of PP formulations for spunbond and meltblown nonwovens”

Spunbond and meltblown nonwoven fabrics are mainly produced from polypropylene (PP), and their final performance results from the interaction between polymer properties…
