Bile duct cancer

Bile duct cancer, also known as cholangiocarcinoma, is a rare and aggressive form of cancer that originates in the bile ducts. The bile ducts are thin tubes that carry bile, a digestive fluid produced by the liver, to the small intestine. Bile duct cancer can occur in any part of the bile duct system, from the liver to the small intestine.This type of cancer is challenging to diagnose in its early stages, often leading to late-stage detection when treatment options may be limited.
