HYBRID EVENT: You can participate in person at Tokyo, Japan from your home or work.
Hereditary Cancer Syndromes: Genetic counseling and testing strategies.

Hereditary cancer syndromes require targeted genetic counseling and testing strategies to identify those at increased risk. Through testing for mutations in key genes such as BRCA1/2, Lynch syndrome, and others, individuals can better understand their inherited risks for cancers like breast, ovarian, colorectal, and others. Genetic counseling provides essential information about the likelihood of developing cancer and available preventive measures, such as regular screenings, medications, or even prophylactic surgeries. Family members of those affected can also be tested to assess their risk. The integration of genetic testing with advanced technologies allows for more comprehensive care, enabling early detection, and reducing the cancer burden for future generations.
