Biography:
Afra Samreen is a third-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery student at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences, India, with a growing interest in regenerative dentistry and biomimetic dental materials. She was awarded second Place at the Manipal BioIncubator National BioInnovation Hackathon for developing BioDentX, a self-healing restorative material aimed at reviving tooth biology. She is passionate about translating biotechnology into clinical dentistry to improve access to minimally invasive, regenerative oral care in high-disease-burden communities.
