Title : Experimental study of the improvement of the electrical efficiency of a photovoltaic panel using a phase change material
Abstract:
This study examines how a photovoltaic (PV) panel's ability to produce electrical energy can be increased by using a phase change material (PCM).This study aims to investigate the enhancement of heat extraction by the PV module including the PCM using an experimental methodology. The PV modules with and without PCM were provided, and their actual cell temperature records were compared. The PCM was mounted on the collector's backside. The experimental findings show that a PV/PCM module's daily temperature is 9°C lower than a standalone PV module's on July 10, 2022, the traditional PV produced a maximum energy output of 35,36 W and the PV/PCM produced a maximum energy output of 38,08 W. The findings also revealed that the best electrical efficiency was achieved by PV/PCM panels, 0,1513, and traditional PV, 0,1497.
