Gandi Raam P U

Biography:

Gandi Raam P U is a third-year B.Tech student at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy), specializing in materials engineering with a strong research focus on bioceramics, environmental materials, and sustainable technologies. He is the co-founder of PollHap, a startup developing multi-ion doped hydroxyapatite coatings derived from bio-waste for air purification and carbon capture applications. He has research experience at CSIR–NIIST in alloy development, composites, and microstructural analysis and has worked on machine-learning-based optimization of dielectric properties in ceramics. His work integrates materials synthesis, characterization, and functional coatings aimed at addressing real-world environmental challenges. He is currently preparing his first scientific publications and pursuing innovative materials-based solutions for sustainability.
