Tra Van Tung

Biography:

Tra Van Tung holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Dalat University, Vietnam. He pursued a Master’s degree at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, where his research focused on the application of membrane technology for treating industrial wastewater to enable water reuse in agriculture. He furthered his academic journey with a Ph.D. from Naresuan University, Thailand, specializing in photocatalysis membrane reactor technology for hospital wastewater treatment. Currently, Dr. Tra serves as a lecturer cum researcher at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Vietnam. His primary research interests include wastewater and potable water treatment, nutrient recovery from agricultural waste to support circular economy models in agriculture, and the production of high-calorific-value biochar as a sustainable alternative to coal. Additionally, he focuses on developing materials and equipment for water supply and wastewater treatment.
