The evolution of dentistry is inextricably linked to research advances, and this relationship has always been relevant. In all health professions, including dentistry and allied health sciences, scientific inquiry and discovery are the fuel for education, research, technology, and health care. Following the progression of findings from basic or fundamental to clinical research, there is a progression from clinical to implementation and better health outcomes and processes. Dental research is critical to dental education. The COVID-19 outbreaks have made it impossible to provide clinical dentistry and education in the field. Dental educators, on the other hand, now have the capabilities and tools to update their teaching strategies by incorporating new digital concepts to enhance online communication.
