Lasers, Photonics, and Optics Technologies Summit

As a member of the organizing committee, I am pleased to welcome you to the 4th Edition of the European Lasers, Photonics, and Optics Technologies Summit (ELOS 2025), to be held from March 10–12, 2025, in Rome, Italy. There is no doubt that optical technologies, including lasers and photonics, are fundamental to modern human life. Today, we are shifting from expansionism and exploitation to sustainability-oriented development. This transition demands new kinds of science and technology. Optical technology is playing a crucial role in this significant turning point, offering high-performance global communication, large-capacity data management, clean renewable energy, and noninvasive medical tools, among countless other applications. This summit aims to bridge the many gaps that persist between academia and industry, basic science and engineering applications, traditional and new exploratory technologies, Western and Eastern sciences, and more. I am confident that participants will not only gain cutting-edge knowledge in their fields but also deepen their mutual friendships during this meeting. Optics Technology Summit

Dear congress visitors, it is an honor and pleasure to write a few welcome notes. Optoelectronics and nanotechnology today makes unprecedented progress, and Liquid crystal devices (LCD) are used in almost all electronic devices and information systems. This outstanding success was achieved mainly via an enthusiasm of physicists, chemists and engineers who not only studied unique properties of liquid crystals but also thought about their optimization providing technical privileges of liquid crystal devices. Photoalignment and photopatterning materials based on azodye nanolayers can be effectively used in LC alignment and patterning for new generations of LC devices that provide extremely high resolution and optical quality of alignment both in glass and plastic substrates, photonics holes etc. New liquid crystal photonics devices include optically rewritable E-paper, field sequential color ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) projectors, photo- patterned quantum rods and 100% polarizers, q-plates, sensors, switchable lenses, windows with voltage controllable transparency, security films, switchable antennas, light controlling elements in fibers, holographic displays. I wish the Conference to be a success.

4th Edition of the European Lasers, Photonics, and Optics Technologies Summit

Only very rarely in the evolution of human understanding does some outlying natural philosopher come up with a new understanding of the Universe that changes everything about the way that human beings regard themselves and each other. For example, there was Galileo in the late 16th century. It was not just the Roman Church authorities who regarded Galileo as insane, everybody who was not a serious astronomer did so too. In the case of the new discovery of Quantum Relativity, the equivalent to the serious astronomers of the late 16th century of 400 years ago, are your community today. Astronomers look deep into outer space, where as in our community we are far more concerned with the space surrounding atoms, but the same logic applies everywhere. The ultra large turns out to be very confusing indeed, where as the space of atoms could not be easier and we have abundant opportunity for exploration. No man will ever leave the Solar System, worrying about beyond the Solar System is frankly absurd. We are all made of atoms and we can almost touch them. Our understanding of Quantum Relativity is held back by a false understanding of so-called negative numbers that has not changed in these last 2,400 years.

Dear ladies and gentleman, researchers, scientists and technologists, it is an honor and pleasure to write a few welcome notes. Optics and photonics are part of the emerging technologies that are being fundamentals in the future, thus require more deep research and knowledge on quantum electrodynamics and spintronics among others. I think that the ELOS23, is an international conference dedicated to impulse and spreading of all areas and scopes inside optics and photonics and related areas that require more research and support in the universities and research departments in careers of electronics engineering, electrical engineering and communications engineering, considering that in the next one hundred years, with the advance in quantum computing, will be these study areas the that will play a primordial role in all technological developments and beyond, to the surviving of the human race in the Earth and the Universe.
