The study of biological processes at the submicroscopic and molecular level of numerous events in the flow of genetic information, taking into account the replication, transcription, and translation of genetic material, is known as molecular biology. This branch of biology and chemistry, particularly molecular genetics and biochemistry, intersects with other branches of biology and chemistry. Through the intermediary process of clinical research, molecular biology, the human genome project, transcriptomes, and proteomes have recently opened up tremendous prospects for translation of basic scientific discoveries to oral health care at the chairside and bedside. Molecular biologists will be able to comprehend and regulate chromosomal function to achieve optimal cellular performance with this knowledge. Because dentistry is so reliant on technology, it will be severely impacted.
