Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes

Bone marrow failure syndromes are a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by impaired hematopoiesis, resulting in one or more cytopenias. These conditions may be inherited or acquired and can present at any age. Clinical features include fatigue, recurrent infections, bleeding tendencies, and increased risk of malignant transformation. Management depends on disease severity and etiology, ranging from supportive care with transfusions and growth factors to immunosuppressive therapy and stem cell transplantation.
