Biography:

Prof. Latzer is graduated Doctor of Medical Science from Technion Medical School, Haifa, Israel, certified Psychotherapist, Family therapist, and held a two-year fellowship on eating disorders (EDs) at Menninger Foundation, KS, USA. Full professor, former dean of School of Social-Work, University of Haifa, published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and edited 7 books 4 of them on EDs. The founder and director of EDs Institution, in Rambam, medical center, Haifa for 25 years. Former president of the Israeli Association for EDs, vice president of the European chapter of EDs, developed an innovative rehabilitation house for patients with severe EDs. Awarded by the AED for her international contribution to the field of EDs.
