Dear NUTRITION 2023 visitors

It is a great honor and pleasure to write a few welcome notes. Nutrition is vital for our daily lives and activities and the need for a balanced diet is emphasized from our primary school education. The high rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity often stems from marked deviations from such balanced diets. The area of nutrition has exploded recently with development of new technologies, including multi-omics platforms, and personal management plans with explosion of literature on areas such as health and disease in humans (e.g., obesity, weight management, metabolic syndrome and other metabolic disorders, biomarkers, aging) and animals together with associated changes at the cellular or whole-body level (e.g., metabolism, immunology, biochemistry), dietetics and education, nutraceuticals and functional foods, nutrigenomics and nutrigenomics, COVID-19 and nutrition and many others. This conference will provide an unparalleled platform to learn about new developments from cutting-edge research, increase network and foster new collaborations.

Dear congress visitors,

It is an honor and pleasure to write a few welcome notes. The vital role of agriculture for production of sufficient supplies of nutritionally adequate food on people's health lifestyle is well known. However, the global agricultural sector faced the following challenges: 1- the annual increase in growing population(the 2017 global populaton of 7.6 billion is expected to grow to 8.6 billion by 2030 and 9.8 billion in 2050 an increase of 13% and 29%, respectively), 2- the availability of arable land is decreasing(soil destruction, deforestation), 3-global warming is proceeding at an alarming rate, 4-about 30% of the total food produced (3.9 billion tons )for human consumption are wasted throughout the supply chain, 5-animal protein production required about 83% of the world's farmland and contribute 56–58% of food emissions. Yet only 37% of our protein and 18% of our calories stem from these food sources, and 6- bad farming operations. Therefore, the global agricultural systems need to change to minimize the impact of above challenges throughout: reducing food waste to save 1.3billion tons, shifting the planet to a vegan diet would reduce food land use by 76%, green- house gas emissions by 49%, acidification by 50%, and freshwater withdrawals by 19% from 2010 levels and precision agriculture holds the promise of significantly improved yields, even while reducing input costs, improves farmer livelihoods and ensures sustainable food production.

Dear participants of the congress

It is a great honor for me to welcome you. Thank you for your attention and interest in the Congress. The chosen format of the congress will bring together scientists from different countries to provide a variety of new ideas and methodology. Traditionally, high interest in the congress demonstrates the importance and demand of this event. Nutriciology has made obvious progress using modern advances in pharmacology and nutrition science. This opens up new opportunities for the development of new products, for example based on plant flavonoids. Bioflavonoids have a multi-factor positive effect on the organism. One property of flavonoids is their lymphotropic effect of acting on lymphatic region structures, including peripheral lymphoid organs. All pre-links have been created to form the direction of lymphonutriciology. The view from the position of lymphology seems valuable. The emergence of new bioactive supplements ensures endoecological safety of the body through increased function of the lymphatic system.

I think discussing problems and new trends in the development of nutriciology will be useful for everyone. I hope that it will be possible to create conditions for constructive dialogue and exchange of experience and views between scientists. I wish all participants of the congress fruitful work, creative effective discussion, activity, optimism and acquisition of friendly contacts. All good health, well-being and new scientific achievements!
