Clinical Proteomics

Clinical Proteomics

Proteins are the fundamental building blocks of all living things. If all proteins in an organism's functional and structural information, as well as their networking capabilities, were available, it should be possible to precisely identify all of the organism's functions, health state, and sickness at the molecular level. Clinical proteomics is an interdisciplinary endeavour that necessitates the involvement of fundamental scientists, translational scientists, and clinicians. The ability to encompass issues ranging from the creation of mass spectrometry technologies to cellular and molecular biochemistry to clinical science is required for advancements in the research sector. Clinical proteomics is the study of proteins implicated in diseases with the goal of bettering patient care by understanding disease mechanisms and being able to detect and monitor specific conditions.
