Synthetic genomics is a novel branch of synthetic biology that combines aspects of genetic alteration with artificial gene synthesis to build new DNA or complete lifeforms. Synthetic genomics and synthetic biology attempt to create new species and biological systems that meet human requirements. Synthetic biology aims to model and build biological components, processes, and creatures that do not exist in nature, as well as redesigning existing biological systems to fulfil additional challenges. Synthetic genomics, on the other hand, includes technology for chemically synthesizing whole genomes or larger sections of genomes, allowing for the simultaneous engineering of a wide range of modifications to organisms' genetic material. The advancement of synthetic genomics is linked to current technological advancements in the science of genetics. Researchers have been able to conduct experiments on genomes that do not exist in nature owing to the capacity to create lengthy base pair chains cheaply and correctly on a wide scale. Synthetic genomics is beginning to enter a fertile period of vitality, thanks to advances in protein folding models and lower computational costs
