Computational Genomics is a discipline that covers levels of research from single genes to systems and resides at the intersection of genomics, the quantitative sciences (such as mathematics, statistics, and computer science), and engineering. The use of computational and statistical analysis to understand biology from genome sequences and related data, including both DNA and RNA sequences as well as other "post-genomic" data, is referred to as computational genomics (sometimes wrongly referred to as computational genetics) (i.e., experimental data obtained with technologies that require the genome sequence, such as genomic DNA microarrays). This discipline is also known as Computational and Statistical Genetics/genomics because of these factors, as well as computational and statistical approaches to understanding gene function and statistical association analysis. As a result, computational genomics can be considered a subset of bioinformatics and computational biology, with an emphasis on understanding the principles of how a species' DNA governs its biology at the molecular level and beyond utilizing whole genomes (rather than individual genes). Computational research has become one of the most important techniques of biological discovery, because of the current abundance of enormous biological information.
This is to inform that due to some circumstances beyond the organizer control, “Euro Global Conference on Proteomics, Genomics and Bioinformatics” (Proteomics 2023) during September 18-20, 2023 at Valencia, Spain has been postponed. The updated dates and venue will be displayed shortly.
Your registration can be transferred to the next edition, if you have already confirmed your participation at the event.
